Who would have thought...
12.07.04 (12:20 pm)   [edit]

I’ve discovered a new gizmo. It’s a bit like email, though not as fast (unless you have a service provider like mine), but much more flexible. Using this service enables you to send three dimensional matter, also known as “objects” anywhere you want. Using a stylus type tool gives you the option to add not just a signature but even a limitless sized note. Exciting stuff eh!

The Post Office…you’ve got to love it.

I went through a stage a couple of years ago of picking up those free advertising postcards wherever I went, and carrying stamps with me, and sending off impulsive and silly postcards to my friends. It was a lot of fun.

I stopped because I got old and boring and busy. Next year I intend to get younger and less boring and start doing it again. (I'll have fewer classes.)

Ooh, that reminds me - I actually scanned my favourite postcard. Must put it up, if I can find it on my hard drive. It's a goodie.

Oh dear! You mean such things still exist?, LOL

I used to post poems to my friends, and cards too, sometimes, but they always replied via email or ecard, so I too evolved, hehe

I know, it's laughable isn't it! I hadn't used snail mail for so long I'd forgotten all about it. It's a whole new world!

Isn't getting a package in snail mail a wonderful thing! What a concept. I think of the post office and am amazed that they can successfully collect, sort and deliver so much stuff. I take it for granted and I shouldn't. Which reminds me of how amazed I am that the dry cleaner somehow can keep my things together and not give me someone elses stuff.

I rely on getting other people's clothes back from the cleaners, it's the only way I can get to look good.

OMG!!! What...a...concept....I just may have to try it out! If you send me your address via tmail, I'll send you a card! No promises when it will arrive though.

Gosh, such fun!
