Time for a haircut
11.11.04 (6:48 am)   [edit]

Something’s changed. I don’t know how or why, all I know is that I don’t like it.

As kids we all watched cartoons. There was always a moment in those cartoons where something scary happened and the hair of the frightened characters shot up at right angles to their head. I always called it “scary hair”. Well, for the last two or three weeks I’ve been waking up every morning with scary hair. Even my days back in the 70’s as a punk (which by the way didn’t last very long because my mother insisted I was a clean and tidy punk), I couldn’t get the scary hair look. That’s just reminded me of Glad. Glad was an excellent punk, she did nothing in half measures. Her scary hair stood about six or eight inches tall because she used wallpaper paste on it. Her hair was SO stiff that her party piece was to snap off the odd spike like an icicle, but I digress… I thought my scary hair days were over. I want boring, flat stuff back!

Yeah, well I want the days back when I couldn't see large expanses of blank space between hairs. The older I get, the thinner it gets.

but scary hair is in fashion now!

My hair is very long at the moment so it is too heavy to get scary but when it is short, it goes every which way.

Some mornings, according to The Man, I wake up with Elvis hair. I'd rather have scary hair. Want to swap? I'm sure you'd make a better Elvis than I do.

Sorry I can't do the lip...or was that Princess Cliff? I get them confused.

My son wakes up with scary hair! It's so cute! Me I have what the kids have dubbed as "crazy hair" cause it just does whatever it wants, not matter what I do!

I don't think it could be Cliff. The last time I saw him on TV it didn't look like he could move any part of his face without his bellybutton changing position.

It's possible he USED to do the Lip, but I think it must have been Elvis. Shame you can't do it. I can't either, so the hairstyle is a disaster on me.

I've got medusa hair. Honest.
Its scary hair with a (literal) twist. And my baby bro has it too. Darned kid doesn't want his hair cut.

Nolan gets scary hair, mostly due to several cowlicks all over his head and the fact he never combs it. One of his goals is to never comb his hair ever; if he keeps it short enough he me be successful! He's also in need of a haircut, but his dad tends to that. I imagine it will happen soon.

My hair is super long, and I refuse to cut it no matter what my mother says about how nice my hair looked when I was a 10th grader (I'm pushing 40 now real hard). I like my long hair, and I like the gray hairs popping up now too!

Cheers!
