Have a beautiful day. :-) posted by: TorryGirl (reply) post date: 09.20.04 (1:53 am) Don't forget the parsely! posted by: badaunt (reply) post date: 09.20.04 (2:05 am) But grocery shopping is FUN! It's the only kind of shopping I really enjoy. You have to take Mr Andaloo with you, and throw things to each other over the aisles. "Here's the toilet paper!" you cry, and throw, hoping he's in the next aisle with the basket where you think he is. I don't think parsley throws well, though. posted by: VodkaB (reply) post date: 09.20.04 (2:56 am) Aye, i agree. parsley does not throw well. I ought to know. *grin* If you try to make shopping enjoyable, it will be ;) Be safe posted by: lynne (reply) post date: 09.20.04 (3:59 am) I am not a big fan of grocery shopping most of the time. Oh sure...sometimes I get in a mood for it but most of the time, it is pure hunger that motivates me. posted by: SusanofPudlin (reply) post date: 09.20.04 (4:17 am) Now you have done it. Don't be going on about parsley. Herbs are sacred don'tcha know. Badaunt is correct. You should be shouting things at each other across the aisles. Dear? How is our tarragon supply? And cake flour? Do we need cake flour? Go out for a long pass on this 2 kilo bag of flour. Betcha can't!!!! Oh no! Who would have thought that 2 kilos of flour could coat the entire meat department!!! posted by: Andaloo (reply) post date: 09.20.04 (7:21 am) Thanks, you too. Have to admit though, any day with shopping on the "to do" list isn't likely to be very beautiful. posted by: Andaloo (reply) post date: 09.20.04 (7:23 am) Reply to: TorryGirl Ahaaa mi hearty, I membered t paaarsley. You have great aim, I was picking the stuff from my red swimmers with yellow duckies on for days! posted by: Andaloo (reply) post date: 09.20.04 (7:28 am) Reply to: lynne Ahhh the voice of reason. Keep me company Lynne, it seems we're in a minority on this one. posted by: Andaloo (reply) post date: 09.20.04 (7:34 am) Reply to: SusanofPudlin In the grounds of Palacio Andaloo, secreted away in a far off corner sits a herb garden. OK so its a tub on the roof but that's a mere detail. Just added to my list of things I need to do; Go shopping with SofP and Badaunt. posted by: librarianguish (reply) post date: 09.20.04 (7:41 am) Shopping can be such a bear!!! I do best when I have a list, stick to it (mostly), and go by myself. Good luck! And don't forget to wear your parsley deflection shield! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 09.20.04 (9:51 am) I would be happy to do your grocery shopping for you!! posted by: SusanofPudlin (reply) post date: 09.20.04 (11:00 am) Reply to: Andaloo To be SURE! I was remembering "helping" my sister (mimi) shop..... she would be seriously going through a shoe box of coupons. I would "supplement" her purchases with every beef tongue available. Along with a career pack of KY jelly. posted by: VodkaB (reply) post date: 09.21.04 (12:23 am) Reply to: Andaloo *grin* the great aim comes from years of..um..experience. Yes. :) Ooh, another red and yellow trunks fan? posted by: SoMe (reply) post date: 09.23.04 (4:17 pm) Ach, I can't stand shopping. Food, clothes, shoes... yeeeech! Just the thought of power shopping sets off my gag reflexes. But is I am careful... and plan it out just right... I can fool myself in to thinking I am having fun... picking some serene little 'tree-hugger' store, with cozy ambience... all the time in the world... it doesn't happen often, but once in a blue moon... I can see a glimmer of hope. And then I get to the checkout line and the cashier has never seen a mango before. Thud. |
