It was said on the local news yesterday that a woman went to hospital, worried that she may have avian flu after giving a pigeon the kiss of life. Thankfully it turned out she just had a cold. What caught my attention though was that nobody seemed to think what she did was odd. Personally I wouldn't know how or when to give a pigeon the kiss of life, for which I'm grateful.

Oh dear lord (oooooh, nice pun!) - what, prey tell, is 'giving a pigeon the kiss of life?!' I have absolutely no idea and can not even begin to wrap my brain around it..

What's important is that you get your thumbs in the right position to press the little abdominal cavity repeatedly after gently blowing into the mouth.
Since this may be seen as depraved by anyone passing by, I'd suggest loudly stating your intentions just prior to performing the deed.
Then, do whatever you can to convince the police officer, who will undoubtedly stumble upon the situation, that you're not nuts.

Perhaps he *did* figure out how to administer the 'kiss of life' to a pigeon. Then he got pigeon cooties, turned into one and off he flew. Woo! Watch him go!

Aha, I can tell you've done this before. I just can't get past the mental image of the pigeon inflating and floating away with a very surprised look on it's face.
