A mere fifty years ago, in the hill areas of my country, it was traditional for the community to gather round, cheering and playing music, while the groom publicly deflowered the bride. (This was when brides used to be virgins (and girls), and if there wasn't copious evidence of her former status, the bride was in deep trouble with absolutely everyone --- since everyone was *there*.) By the way, I never told you how much I liked your kitchen. I really want to know if you have all your favorite appliances, as well as beautiful cabinetry! It puts the whole "choice" issue which I was waffling on about in an earlier post into perspective. On a lighter note; We chose not to have a "fitted kitchen". Other than the cooker the only appliance we have is what is known here as an American fridge. posted by: ReBorn (reply) post date: 05.25.04 (4:22 pm) In some parts of pacific, people get married in their birthday suits (absolutely butt naked)... Now if a couple from that side of the world want to get married in spain.. ewwww....... poor poor groom lolll |
