I don't need nannying!
04.29.04 (8:46 am)   [edit]
The other day Paul asked me if I’d received the email he’d sent me from work. I’m in the middle of stripping varnish from kitchen cupboards and a friend had recommended to Paul a particular product. The email didn’t arrive. The next day he talked to the techies at work, saying although this email wasn’t important it was worrying to think that other emails may be going astray. To cut a long story short, they found the email sitting in a file of emails containing “dubious content”. He’d written “varnish stripper” in the subject field.

hahaha. That is funny but then it isnt funny too. I have a friend whose work has those kinds of filters on incoming email and occasionally my emails wont go through. One time I told him I would give him the "blow by blow" about a lunch date I had and that one was filtered. Haha. I had to laugh because it wasnt THAT kind of date ;)

BTW, while in my last flat in San Francisco, I scrapped layers of decades of paint from windowframes and doors, so that I could get down to the wood and varnish or wax it. After stripping only one window, I decided this was too big a job. And it was a few years later that I learned of the dangers of scraping & sanding & breathing the dust of old lead-based paint.

This may explain recent bouts of dementia. Or is this just age?

That sounds as if you're speaking from experience...
I've got to that point where I'm thinking Why did I start this?"

Why didn't you just hire a stripper?

I read an article about PartsExpress.com a few days ago. Google safe search filters them out, and many mail programs do not let their email through.

Customers do not get email confirmations, and potential customers can't find them. Why? Because they are a sex site. Not really, but sex is part of their domain name. Perhaps a "part sex press" is some sort of sexual device similar to a dick chainy.

Oh my gosh you're back! I stopped coming by for so long because I didn't see anything new and I was getting sad about it! I'm sooooooo glad you're back!

Living in a house that is 60+ years old, I have done my share of "stripping". All the doors were covered with a wide assortment of paint. I bet much of it was lead based.

I don't envy the work, but the end result is well worth it.
