I guess you would have to get one of those wallet things that hang around your neck for going to the beach ;) I wouldnt have that problem though because I am a prude American and there is NO WAY I would get naked on a beach with other people on it. I will confess to getting naked on a deserted Lake Michigan beach once when I was on a backpacking trip but that was different ;) posted by: Andaloo (reply) post date: 04.26.04 (7:38 am) Reply to: SnowbirdArts Sorry, badly worded. I meant the hassle of where to put an identity card whilst on the beach. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 04.26.04 (9:16 am) You can just stick the card...in your armpit :D posted by: SusanofPudlin (reply) post date: 04.26.04 (9:16 am) Oh to have that hassle again..... I used to frequent nudist resorts frequently. Having endured the hassle of where to put the accessories, I can only suggest a tote bag. posted by: dangerkitty (reply) post date: 04.26.04 (9:43 am) I don't see the big deal about ID cards if it means that I make all these transactions quickly and easily. Fingerprinting is another issue altogether. I don't like it. It's like asking me for a sample of my DNA to put on file in the event that I commit a crime down the road. posted by: mblog (reply) post date: 04.26.04 (10:56 am) In Europe, it's not uncommon for people to carry passports. In the US, it's almost unheard of, and most people don't have one. People here are opposed to a national ID card, but they have no problems with a state ID card that allows them to drive. The reality is that they are hundreds of times more likely to use it as identification than to ever have to show it to law enforcement. It has my photo on it, and my fingerprint is scanned into a database. Where I live, there is no nude sunbathing. Actually, you can be nude from the waist up, but only if you have a penis. But it's illegal to show anybody that you have a penis. That's where the identity card comes in. posted by: Andaloo (reply) post date: 04.26.04 (12:23 pm) Reply to: lynne Ahh, but those Californian hot tubs are so tempting... posted by: Andaloo (reply) post date: 04.26.04 (12:26 pm) Reply to: rosietulips My sentiments entirely...but don't you hate those white bits? ;) posted by: jazzydawn (reply) post date: 04.26.04 (12:43 pm) You just have to post the ID card in the "conspicuous place" and you'll be all set. Nude no more :-) posted by: Andaloo (reply) post date: 04.26.04 (1:20 pm) Reply to: SusanofPudlin LOL a what? posted by: Andaloo (reply) post date: 04.26.04 (1:21 pm) Reply to: jazzydawn We're back to those white bits.... posted by: Andaloo (reply) post date: 04.26.04 (1:25 pm) Reply to: mblog LOL But what if your penis was...erm, best not go there. posted by: mblog (reply) post date: 04.26.04 (4:19 pm) Reply to: Andaloo Are you denying me the rare opportunity to discuss my penis on a blog? OK. posted by: SusanofPudlin (reply) post date: 04.26.04 (5:42 pm) A tote bag.... A small bag, drawstring or handled......into which one stashes tanning lotion, sunscreen, keys, lip gloss, a book and a towel. posted by: emj36 (reply) post date: 04.26.04 (8:34 pm) I bet you look cute when you are at the beach. :) posted by: Joolie (reply) post date: 04.27.04 (5:25 am) I'm not so worried about having to carry an ID card, what I object to is having to pay for the privilege - if the government want to bring it in, they can pay for it, I already pay more than enough for a passport! Joolie xxx posted by: Andaloo (reply) post date: 04.27.04 (6:35 am) Reply to: Joolie Thirty five pounds I think. People will never pay out that sort of money. As for passports...I renewed at Christmas and it cost €95! |
